Ye Olde Tadger is an independent English pub serving hearty food, well-kept beer and the sort of welcome that does not require a reservation. Records suggest there has been an alehouse here since 1647. The records become less reliable after that.
According to the archives
The pub allegedly burned down in 1712, moved twelve feet to the left in 1783 and was briefly owned by a man who did not exist.
Food & drink
Proper pies, fish and chips, Sunday roasts, bar snacks worth ordering twice and a line-up of cask, keg and bottled favourites behind the bar.
