Smiley Starfish demonstration business Fictional plumber. Real workflow.

What we fix

Plumbing, heating and things that should not be making that noise.

From routine boiler servicing to taps with commitment issues, we deal with the everyday wet, warm, drippy and mildly alarming bits of a home.

The technical diagnostic process

  1. Point at the thing.
  2. Describe the noise.
  3. Say, “It only started doing that yesterday.”
  4. We take it from there.

The useful stuff

Six perfectly respectable reasons to call a plumber.

And, in fairness, several less respectable ones. These are the jobs we have built the demo around because they are easy to understand and useful for proving the booking-to-invoice workflow.

01

Boiler servicing

Routine servicing for boilers that are working perfectly well and would ideally like to continue doing so.

Good for: annual servicing, maintenance reminders and keeping the hot water pleasantly uneventful.

02

Leaks & awkward dribbles

Dripping taps, leaking fittings, damp patches and pipework that has decided to become a feature.

Good for: taps, valves, joints, small leaks and mysterious moisture where moisture should not be.

03

Outside taps

New outside taps, replacements and repairs for hoses, gardens, paddling pools and ambitious bucket-related activity.

Good for: new fittings, tired fittings and taps that only work when threatened.

04

Radiators & heating

Cold spots, noisy radiators, reluctant heating and rooms that appear to have entered their own microclimate.

Good for: heating faults, radiator problems and generally restoring indoor civilisation.

05

Boiler & heating faults

Boilers behaving badly, heating controls doing interpretive dance and anything involving gas being treated considerably more seriously than this sentence.

Good for: fault diagnosis, heating problems and preventing excessive gas build-up from becoming the wrong sort of anecdote.

06

General plumbing repairs

Toilets, valves, pipes, fittings, cisterns and all the ordinary household plumbing that occasionally comes off in your hand.

Good for: the miscellaneous category normally described as, “Can you just have a look at this while you’re here?”

Straightforward jobs

A sensible job should have a sensible paper trail.

The interesting bit of this demo is not pretending plumbing is complicated. It is showing how the website can carry the same job information from the first request through to the quote and invoice.

1
Customer tells us what is wrong

One clean request instead of a phone note, a scrap of paper and a message someone forgot to forward.

2
The job is built from useful charge items

Call-out, labour, a standard service and any materials can all sit against the same job record.

3
The same record becomes the invoice

No typing the customer and the work back into another system just because the job is finished.

Seen your particular flavour of plumbing misery?

Tell us what has gone wonky.

The next demo page turns that into a proper job request rather than another dead-end contact form.
